FA Cup Arsenal v Leeds
A last minute penalty scored by Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas denied Leeds United the chance to pull off a famous Cup victory at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Even though they play in a lower division than Arsenal the Leeds players set about their task with great determination. Leeds bravely defended against Arsenal's attacks and their goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel made some outstanding saves. At half time the score was 0-0.In the second half Leeds were awarded a penalty which was dispatched confidently by Robert Snodgrass. Leeds began to play with such self belief that Arsenal had to bring on two of their star players Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott to try and win the match. It looked as though Leeds were goinng through to the next round when the referee awarded Arsenal a penalty in the 90th minute. Fabregas scored and the final result was 1-1.
Disappointing for Leeds but now Arsenal have to come to Elland Road for a replay. It should be a great night for the Leeds fans and the atmosphere will be electric.

I think the tactic of placing cling film around the goals helped Leeds enormously.
