Arsenal proved too much for a battling Leeds side in the FA Cup replay at Elland Road.
The atmosphere was electric and the Leeds fans buoyant after a 4-0 win over Scunthorpe but Arsenal were in front within minutes courtesy of a Samir Nasri goal. A second from Bacary Sagna and it looked as if Leeds were out of the Cup until a superb goal by Bradley Johnson stunned the Gunners giving the team and the Leeds fans new hope. There was less to choose between the teams in the second half until Arsenal brought on Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie. A third goal from substitute Van Persie settled the match.
Leeds may have been beaten by a better side but they never gave up and showed the watching TV millions that Leeds Utd are a team on the up.
